Urology Clinic is the founder and medical director of The Urology Clinic, based in Iowa City, Iowa, where he practices urology, specializing in the treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) and prostate cancer, among other conditions. Dr. Billmeyer attended the University of Iowa and graduated with the highest distinction with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. Urology Clinic grew up in Omaha, Nebraska where he attended the University of Iowa and graduated with the highest distinction with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. He was selected for membership in the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He took his first urology clinic job at Creighton Medical Center after graduating from medical school but soon realized that he wanted to open his own urology clinic. So he began looking for a place where he could start his own practice, eventually finding one near the University of Pennsylvania Hospital in Philadelphia, PA.
His studies at the University of Iowa:
He was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He graduated with the highest distinction with a major in biology and a minor in chemistry. His first job after graduating was at the University of Iowa, where he worked as an assistant research professor for five years, before leaving to take on clinical responsibilities at the university’s medical school clinics. It was there that he became interested in urology and decided to specialize in that field.
He’s also part owner of Midwest Urological Associates LLC, which operates four urological clinics including two near Omaha (Omaha, NE), one near Lincoln (Lincoln, NE), and one near Des Moines (Des Moines, IA).
