Because of this, they can come in many different designs and styles, and designing your sunglasses can be fun. If you learn to draw sunglasses, you can create custom designs!

How to Draw Sunglasses

Step 1

To start this manual for drawing sunglasses, let’s start with the lens on the left flank of the glasses.

To do this, we’ll draw a rounded triangle for the lens. Once you have that lens, you can use another curved line above it for the frame that the lens will go into.

That’s all there is to do in this step, so let’s move on to step 2!

Step 2

Now that you’ve created a drawing of the left side of your sunglasses, you can complete the structure in this tutorial step.

To do this, you will use another curved line to create the bottom of the glasses frame, as shown in the reference image.

This meets the left flank of the sunglasses, and we’ll begin with the other sunglasses in the next few stages.

Step 3

So far, in this guide to drawing sunglasses, you’ve drawn one side of the shadows, so drawing the right side should be easier!

This site will look identical to the lens on the left, but the pitch will be negligibly different this time.

We’ll wait to draw the top of the frame, but we’ll draw it soon once we get started.

Step 4

In this fourth step in drawing the sunglasses, you will finish the frame on the right lens and add the glasses’ temple.

First, use a few more curved lines to draw the top of the frame, as you see in our reference image.

The next part of the glasses we draw is called the temple, which goes over the ears to hold the glasses to your face.

To draw this part of the sunglasses, draw straight lines ending in curved lines.

Step 5

In this fifth step of our guide on drawing sunglasses, we will add the final details and elements of the glasses.

Once you’ve added the final part and all your extra details, the final step is to colorize your drawing.

First, we draw the second arm of the glasses. Because of the angle, this temple is slightly more curved than the other.

With this temple, the drawing is complete! However, before proceeding, you can add personal details and items you may want.

This is a step where you can let your creativity run free, but we’ll also go over some ideas you might want to try.

We mentioned creating your themes earlier in this guide, and you can use what you’ve learned in this guide to customize it and create your theme. If you have a favorite pair of sunglasses, you can recreate them in this design.

You can add accessories to the glasses or draw other objects next to them. If you’re ambitious, you could design yourself with these sunglasses!

Step 6

At this final stage of your sunglass design, you can finish it off with some great colors!

Sunglasses Drawing

We used a nice red for the frame of the sunglasses with some shades of blue for the lenses. That’s what we chose for our example, but now you can show us which of your favorite colors you think goes with this design.

Sunglasses can come in many styles and color variations, so you have a lot of freedom when coloring this image.

You can also experiment with different artistic tools and mediums to bring the colors to life. Mediums such as acrylic paints and shaded pencils let you make colors that pop off the carrier.

On the other hand, mediums like watercolor or colored pencils can help create a more muted, classic feel.
